Interesting article about Easley moving a state funded food stamp call center back to NC from India.
The story says that moving the center back to NC will increase cost from $1.64 to $2.05 per “case” meaning per “phone call”.
There is no mention of effectiveness of the program and there is also an interesting perspective from Dan Gerlach (Easley staff) that he is “uncertain how much it will cost to move the call center.”
So they don’t know how much it will cost to move it, they are prepared to spend more of your money to fund it, and they are proud of the fact they are “creating jobs” even though they’re government jobs that will be just another increase in the NC Budget.
There is just way too much fodder worthy of debate on this one!
