“That is why we were over there, to get those Euros coming to the U.S. for tourism.”
Let’s take it literally. If you’re only calculating sales tax of 7%, then the Easleys’ trips would have to generate $3,985,714 in sales to recoup the $279k spent on the trips ($170k + $109k.) So, who’s in line to take a bet as to how soon the Gov’s trips will pay off with French, Estonian, Russian and Italian nationals invading North Carolina with Euros? (HT-JP)
