The State Board of Education recently released information showing that North Carolina public schools’ abnormally high dropout rate is showing little signs of improvement. The board also approved smaller bonuses for public school teachers, citing a lack of funds. Those were just two of the topics JLF Education Policy Analyst Terry Stoops discussed during an appearance this week with Bill LuMaye on the WPTF Radio afternoon program.  The Leland Tribune also picked up Stoops’ recent column on the growing number of coaches in the public school bureaucracy.
