Not sure which organization is afraid to use the word “Easter” — the Orange County school system or the Raleigh News & Observer. But in Orange County at New Hope Elementary School, an Easter egg hunt — just “egg hunt” in these politically correct days — went high tech as 1st and 5th graders searched for eggs using GPS devices purchased with a federal grant. Give the teachers points for being creative, but let’s call an “egg hunt” what it really is — an Easter egg hunt. Can’t wait to read about the kids being visited by “the bunny.”
