The News & Observer covered the first public forum for the three Democratic candidates vying to take on Richard Burr this November. From the story comes this shocker:
Secretary of State Elaine Marshall had a touch of populism in her speech, promising to go to Washington to battle “insurance companies, lobbyists and crooks,” the same groups that she faced as a state regulator.
Insurance companies, lobbyists, and crooks ? seems a pretty apt description of the Obama administration to me.
