The N.C. Board of Elections continues this morning to look into the circumstances surrounding donations to State House Speaker Jim Black’s political campaign.

Board members have been questioning Howard Mintz this morning. Mintz contributed $2,000 to the Black campaign. He says he gave that money at the request of Robert Huckabee, owner of the video poker company Southland Amusements & Vending.

But Mintz says Huckabee never indicated that the money had any link to video poker. Mintz answered no when elections board members asked him whether Hucakabee had given him the money to contribute to Black.
