James Carafano wrapped his comments around the presentation of the movie “33 Minutes: Protecting America in the New Missile Age.” That movie references the EMP, which could destroy the American electrical grid and leave the nation powerless.
In the video clip below, Carafano explains why this would amount to more than just the temporary loss of power associated with natural disasters like hurricanes and ice storms.
