Economics professor Bill Anderson takes issue with Senator Warren’s set of beliefs and policy demands in this piece. He does not shrink from using the proper term for her approach: fascist.

The situation we face is reminiscent of the 1930s when we had an interventionist president (Hoover) whose bungling made turned an economic downturn into a depression, and as a result, the country turned to a far more interventionist politician (FDR) whose foolish economic notions and enmity towards free enterprise made the depression deeper and longer than we had ever experienced. Recently, we suffered through the Big Government conservatism of Bush II, who set the stage for the furious statism of Barack Obama, who made a bad situation much worse. Will America again draw the wrong conclusion and turn to an even more statist politician (Warren, or others) who promise that still more government is the solution to our woes?
