The “poorly drafted eminent domain amendment that is a cure worse than the disease” (my official title for it) will be heard in the House Judiciary II committee on Thursday (10 am in 421 LOB). At least the bill is on the calendar–it probably will get heard.

Good news: The amendment easily could be fixed.
Bad news: Politicians (from both parties) are likely to push the amendment through just to say they did something–meanwhile, they will cause harm. I hope they prove me wrong.
