Due to the failure of the state’s consumer advocate to adhere to its mission of protecting consumers, NC energy policy is being monopolized by extremist environmental groups who likely do not reflect the will of the majority of North Carolinians. I discuss here how this form of policymaking will cost North Carolina’s utility customers hundreds of millions of dollars annually.
