Many UNC workers are angry they won’t be able to participate in an upcoming program they organized.
Chancellor James Moeser denied the requests of UNC workers to receive either time off or community service leave to attend a worker-planned teach-in.
The event is scheduled for Tuesday between noon and 2 p.m. — a time slot that would prevent many workers from attending.
In an e-mail response to workers Wednesday, Moeser stated that the teach-in will not be classified as work time because it is not a University-sponsored event.
