The Guilford County political follies continue.
Skip Alston, a county commissioner and the head of the North Carolina NAACP, said the other day that the city staff of Greensboro is ?racist.? Now he seems to be ?clarifying? his statement, limiting it to the city?s treatment of a black couple managing a 36-home low-income housing community. Meanwhile, Republican Linda Shaw ? whose sparring with Alston has become legendary, and once involved spittle ? said of problems at the federally funded housing project: ?It’s so clear, even Stevie Wonder could see it.?
And so it goes, round and round, the Gate City?s political carousel. Kinda makes you dizzy.
