As national attention focused on North Carolina’s primary election, John Locke Foundation experts shared their knowledge of key factors influencing the state’s voters. President John Hood offered National Review Online two preview pieces in the days leading up to Tuesday’s primary, then provided the same media outlet an evaluation of the results. Hood also put forward political analysis in the past week for the Greensboro News & Record, Associated Press, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, WPTF Radio, State Government Radio, WLS-AM Radio in Chicago, and WNCN (NBC-17) television. He served as the conservative political analyst during the first hour of WRAL television’s primary night coverage. U.S. News and World Report columnist Michael Barone also cited Hood’s analysis of this week’s election results. Meanwhile, other JLF experts also attracted the media’s election-related interest. Meck Deck blogger  Jeff Taylor dissected the North Carolina primary for Reason Magazine, and he discussed primary results with WBAL Radio in Baltimore.  National Journal highlighted comments from Paul Chesser of Climate Strategies Watch about the potential impact on North Carolina Republican races of “Operation Chaos.”
