Interesting that Rep. Thom Tillis tells the N&R:

“When you’ve been under a fairly liberal leadership for quite some time, anything we do will appear to be conservative, even if it is centrist or right of center, just because of the reference point,” House Speaker Thom Tillis said. “I would certainly question anybody who would say this is some sort of far-right-wing agenda.”

..After the N&O reports Tillis gave his staff fat raises;

…Also that N&R columnist Jeri Rowe (unposted) weighs in on CNN’s view of Greensboro:

I found it thimble-deep in historical context and lacking the nuance needed to explain the complexities of race. But I suppose we can’t fault them for that. CNN swooped in and swooped out. CNN hasn’t lived here for a lifetime. We have.

Their story, I believe, is not all of who we are. But maybe what CNN saw is part of who we are —and we can work on that.

But will we? You decide.

..Just as the Rev. William Barber dons a mask and marches through downtown Greensboro.

Interpret for yourselves, dear readers.
