This sums up analysis of the health care bill produced by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO).  But it is not
the CBOs fault.  By law, the CBO must accept any fantasy scenario that Congress gives it.  Douglas Holtz-Eakin, former director of the CBO, explains the
numbers here.  Instead of lowering the deficit by $138 billion, the likely
result of the health care bill is a $562 billion increase in the deficit over
the next 10 years.
