Well, only Tim and Bob Morgan know for sure, but all-hands-on-deck, hair-on-fire back on forth on the absolute imperative for Charlotte to nail the DNC convo and not let anything like public school closing protests get in the way has supposedly been the norm in recent weeks. The fed move also explains recent rumors to the effect that what was supposed to be a December decision on the 2012 site might be pushed until January. In fact, today was supposed to be the day the DNC made its call, according to some. Looks like some wires got crossed.
