Typically, the New York Times tries to minimize the importance of F.A. Hayek in advance of Paul Ryan’s convention speech. (If you believe the Times, there are no good arguments against the constant expansion of the state, so anyone who makes such arguments must be a dolt pretending to be intelligent.) You can read that piece as well as a thorough demolition job by Professor Richard Epstein and comments by David Boaz of Cato Institute here.
