Under the Four ?New Leash on Life? Program at Eastern Correctional Institution, four young dogs, Abby, Buddy, Clancey, and Jenna, were released from prison Monday after serving an eight-week sentence. Inmates taught the dogs to walk on and off leash, respond to basic commands, and play cards. Ok, only Buddy learned how to play cards.

Rumor has it that all four dogs were able to meet the rigorous graduation requirements set by the program, namely passing the state’s end-of-grade math and reading tests. Jenna even received a paw-fect score.
