Doctors are expected to follow that admonition, but what about politicians?

As this Wall Street Journal piece shows, passage of the ObamaCare bill will be very harmful to some people. The author of the article is a New York City resident who purchases a hospitalization policy on his own. If ObamaCare passes, however, it won’t qualify as an approved plan and he’ll have to either spend a lot more to get the kind of insurance the politicians think everyone should have, or else violate the law by not carrying insurance.

If this were pointed out to supporters of the bill, how many would say, “Now that I see how damaging it can be, I can’t support it any longer” and how many would say, “To make an omelette, you have to break some eggs”?

When the government starts messing around with things that are none of its business, it’s inevitably going to damage some people.
