In 2009, James Oblinger resigned as chancellor of NC State University in the wake of the scandal about Mary Easley’s hiring and pay raise. Now Oblinger has landed the job as head of the David Murdock Research Institute at the N.C. Research Campus in Kannapolis. He starts work next week.
