The finalists are Char-Meck senior deputy chief Kenneth Miller and Lisa Womack, former chief of the Elgin (Ill.) Police Department.
Guess what —- Womack resigned from the Elgin police department under a cloud of controversy, although it’s not exactly clear why.
Update Spag says over at Ed Cone’s maybe Womack “got the David Wray treatment.” Entirely possible. It’s scary how city governments think alike.
