Mayor Bill Knight tells WFMY “it’s just not a good time right now to be looking at raises.”

List of positions here.

The Rhino’s John Hammer weighs in. Bottom line —when seven council members —including Knight and Danny Thompson, signed off on a $250,000 compensation study, did they really think Rashad Young would take that study and recommend cutting salaries?

Commenter Wayne Stutts says over at Guarino’s “(t)his city manager is beginning to act a lot like the previous city manager.”

I’ll submit that Rashad Young is a vast improvement over Mitchell Johnson, but he’s still a city manager, master over a world unto itself.
