Now prosecutors in Raleigh are looking into whether former state lotto commission board member and Mecklenburg County Planning Commission member Kevin Geddings received gifts as a result of his post with the county. One possible goodie: Tickets to Panthers’ games.

Let’s remember that without the support of Parks Helms, Geddings never makes it to the planning commission in June 2005. Helms quickly moved to clean up that mistake in November 2005 by asking Geddings to quit the county board after it became clear that Geddings was a political liability due to the unfolding lotto scandal.
