I watch the Tour de France start to finish every year. I love the event. What I don’t like are aggressive and arrogant bicycle riders on the roadways, the kind who dress up in hundreds of dollars worth of Spandex on thousand-dollar bikes and break all the rules of the road with impunity. If you spend any time on the road in the Triangle you know what I mean. I’m talking about the riders who come up on the right side of your car, between you and the curb, ignoring your right-turn blinker, the ones who run red lights, the ones who ride abreast, taking up a whole lane out of spite and shaking their fist and yelling “Share the road!” when you beep at them. Still, they’re not as bad as the idiots in San Francisco.
