First Van Jones, now Anita Dunn:

White House communications director Anita Dunn will step down from her post at the end of the month and Dan Pfeiffer, her deputy, will take over, according to sources familiar with the move.

Dunn, you might remember, is the Mao-loving Obama appointee who told a group of high schoolers in June that Mao Zedong is one of her favorite philosophers, one of the two philosophers “I turn to most.” The mainstream media didn’t find this noteworthy, but TV and radio talker Glenn Beck did.

The press releases will talk about her “exploring new opportunities” or wanting to “spend time with her family,” but we all know that she’s out because having a Mao-loving communications director in the White House was simply a liability.

UPDATE: Michelle Malkin says Dunn hasn’t been thrown under the bus. Call me unconvinced.
