Again nothing for sure on this, but we note that the proposed new Afro-American cultural center would be across from the convention center and front the new, rumored Martin Luther King nomenclature. Plus, a block away, sits the Grace AME Zion Church that Mecklenburg County is angling to buy for $1.2 million for the free-spending historical commission.
