As Jefferson said, “A government big enough to give you everything you want is also a government big enough to take away everything you’ve got.” He was probably thinking about tangible property, but it applies just as much to your capacity to fully realize your potential. The more people become dependent upon the nanny state, the less they work, create, and test their own limits.
