The Rhino Times is reporting that Guilford County schools chief Terry Grier is among the finalists for the top job at CMS. The news comes at the same time that opposition to interim CMS superintendent Frances Haithcock, another reported finalist for the job, is bubbling to the surface.
Many CMS teachers do not view Haithcock favorably because she was part of the CMS leadership team that repeatedly blamed low CMS test scores on poor performance by classroom teachers. Accordingly, teachers are alarmed that Haithcock is already on the short-list for the top job. Stay tuned.
