Absolutely hysterical must-reading. And iron-clad proof now and forever more that the Uptown insiders really do not think the rules apply to them.

Cameron Harris really, really thought that going on hunting trips with Ken Thompson entitled him to insider info on when to sell his Wachovia stock. Were I a busybody investigator with the SEC, I’d try and find out if Harris went on hunting trips with any other execs of publicly traded companies and then executed stock trades. These people have no clue.

Cameron and wife Dee Dee seem to think they are entitled to be rich, with no downside, with no risk. Earlier this year they sued a former partner in a corporate jet flipping scheme, claiming they lost millions. No kidding? That can happen when you are flipping corporate jets. These loons are not businesspeople, let alone capitalists.

Yet they’ve long been held up as the very tippy-top of Charlotte’s business elite. If that does not tell you what dire straits we are in as a community, I don’t know what will.

Update: Hmmm. The Harrises went all the way to Charleston for their attorney, Lindsay K. Smith-Yancey. Guess that tells you how many Charlotte lawyers have worked for Thompson and the defendants over the years.
