This is not political. Oh, no. Walmart is in the news for denying part-time benefits to employees. Not too long ago, benefits for part-timers were almost unheard-of.
Anyhoo, the story reminds me of substitute teaching. The kids gang up on the teacher until she reaches her breaking point, and then the kids squeal with delight because they proved she was a weirdo. Analogously, Obamacare screwed up healthcare to the point the prejudged capitalists can no longer afford to be as nice to their employees as they had wanted to be, and the mass media squeals with delight.
On the flipside, we must admit that Walmart could not exist as we know it were it not for foodstamps. Sad is our mixed/mixed-up economy.
