I don’t really care what the president eats –– even if his public eating habits are conspicuously at odds with the federally funded and approved “My Plate” food guide being pushed by the First Lady. But I will offer this advice: I’d like the president to eat more Big Macs, since it appears that hiring by McDonald’s is responsible for about half of the meager 54,000 jobs that were added last month.
Welcome to the Obama recovery — 9.1 percent unemployment nationwide — and 9.7 percent here in North Carolina.
Proving once again that, yes, economic policies DO have consequences.
