A sickening irony out of Mississippi, where voters today are deciding whether to amend the state constitution by defining life as beginning at conception. The pro-abortion group spearheading opposition to the amendment calls itself Mississippians for Healthy Families.

Healthy families — unless of course you’re one of the unlucky girls or boys whose mother has deemed you inconvenient or  imperfect.

NOW is both aiding on-the-ground efforts to oppose the measure and contributing to ad buys, Matson told POLITICO.

She said the organization has teamed up with Mississippians for Healthy Families, the umbrella group that opposes the measure, for local organizing and phonebanking efforts.

“This is something that women’s rights supporters are very nervous about,” Matson said. “I’m sure you have seen a lot of the justifiable concern out there that if this initially passes, it will be the beginning of a movement to insert personhood amendments in the constitutions of several states.

Pro-abortion groups are always nervous when faced with the reality of their actions. Has anyone ever asked these pro-abortion women if they think about all the girls whose lives have been ended with their support?
