The treasurer of the Reform Party has told election officials that it?s time for the organization to be disbanded. It has, he says, $18.18 in the bank.

Ah ha! Now we are getting somewhere. The black helicopters have landed, no doubt right in the middle of the party founder?s daughter?s wedding. You see, numerology tells us a great deal about the significance of the number 18. According to one source, the number 18 signifies ?life? in that it represents the addition of two Hebrew letters that spell the word. But according to other evidence, the number 18 has an even deeper meaning:

18 is regarded as sinister, but if you love the night you will not agree. Number 18 represents the darkness of the unconscious, the Pandora’s box inside us all, containing fear, insecurity, hate, lust, envy, greed-all the feelings we tend to deny and hide. Denying them fortifies these feelings, and because we cannot deal with something we may pretend it doesn’t exist. With 18, we can face all these things, for it is a good chance to overwhelm any problem related to our darkest side. Both demon and angel are parts of us, and the fear of darkness is the fear of our own inner demon. As it is said in a book called a Caibalion: “For the pure one, everything is pure; as for the vile, everything is vile and corrupted.” It is very common to find the number 18 in charts of religious leaders, which means that their darkest side projected them to the search of the light. Number 18 is also related to 666 (6 + 6 + 6 = 18), a number that alternates both sacred and profane aspects, depending on one’s point of view.

So, the Reform Party?s current status isn?t really as dire as the statement suggests at face value. The deeper meaning is that all that is sinister, that relates to the ?darkest side? of political disaffection and paranoia, will continue to live on. Religion and the Antichrist are also involved. Probably the CIA and John Ashcroft, too, though I repeat myself. Here, let me show you this chart. . .
