Chapel Hill hookah bar owner Adam Bliss tells me he received a visit from Orange County environmental health director Tom Konsler last night at 10:20 p.m. Upon seeing Bliss’ cancelled ABC permit, Konsler deemed that Hookah Bliss is now in compliance with the state’s anti-smoking law. Bliss was deemed in violation in late March.
Bliss says he asked Konsler how much he owes in fines for defying the law but did not get an answer. Konsler told Bliss he will get him a bill.
