The economy is buzzing happily along. In four more years, we’ll undo all the damage caused by President Bush. In the meantime, Macon County has already burned through 60% of federal funds for home heating assistance. Applications have been taken since November 1.
CareNet, a faith-based organization that provides food for the needy, was charged with administering the funds because Macon County DSS staff were too busy implementing the NC FAST system. CareNet continues to need food and toiletries for the many unfortunate celebrating the momentum of the vibrant economic recovery.
