WBTV reports that a 27-year-old ninth-grade English teacher at Hopewell High is under investigation by Cabarrus County officials for having a sexual relationship with one of her students. The 16-year-old girl’s father suspected something and began collecting emails and IMs between the woman and the girl.
No charges have been filed.
Update: CMS has suspended the teacher in question with pay.
Update II: The teacher has resigned.
Update III: The teacher is in jail.
