Accommodations at the Graham County Jail have been reduced from eight to six cells. The action was taken to remedy issues discovered by inspectors. The jail has a reputation for not living up to inspectors’ standards – but then, what does? County fathers do not wish to close the jail, even though they have the option of expanding their current practice of paying a couple other counties to handle overflow crowds.
