North Carolina legislators and the McCrory administration are considering reforms that could introduce competition and private-sector managed care into the state’s Medicaid program.
Cathy Rossberg, vice president for new business development at Amerigroup, discussed how managed care could change North Carolina Medicaid during a presentation today for the John Locke Foundation’s Shaftesbury Society. Amerigroup is one of the three national companies that are most likely to bid for a contract to serve Medicaid patients in North Carolina if the process moves forward as the McCrory administration has proposed.
