I’m sure everyone has heard about the bridge collapsing in Minnesota yesterday evening. Makes you wonder how  bridges fair in North Carolina. With some serious looking, I realized that many bridges in the state are in poor condition. Most notably though is the Bonner Bridge near the Outer Banks which sees a lot of traffic, daily. According to the bridge assessment report – something needs to be done. There is no concrete solution as of yet because of funding issues in the state, which we at John Locke have known about for some time. We, as a state, need to figure out our funding and fix our bridges before they become a bigger problem.
