Heath Shuler is doing the family man with local links thing now. His kids are very small. It has been an honor serving WNC. This is an area rich in heritage and natural beauty with wonderful people. He hates leaving his family to go to DC each week.
The Blue Dog Caucus represents 80% of the American people. Now is the time to build bridges. Margins will be narrow between R’s and D’s after the next election. GE Aviation, a local company, won a contract for building strike fighters, and Shuler was a part of getting it for them.
