I’ve known a lot of feminist moms over the years. You can’t live in Durham and not. I’ve seen their reaction to competition (“It’s unhealthy to self-esteem.”), to sports in general (“It’s too competitive.”), to helmet sports (“They’re barbaric.”), to hunting (“Even more barbaric.”), to the Boy Scouts (“Too militaristic.”), to soccer (“Great sport, it’s European!”). So it’s no surprise that the current generation of boy are wusses. Too many moms like it that way. They want feminized sons who like art and theater more than football and the outdoors.
On second thought, I blame the dads for standing up to their whip-cracking feminist wives.
