I feel inclined to call attention to the recent works of Becki Gray, disclosing Medicaid’s overwhelming portion of the North Carolina budget. Her recent presentation with Katherine Restrepo in Asheville helped me see Obamacare more as a smokescreen to postpone the inevitable. Here’s a link to some articles. Obamacare will not straighten out the misappropriation and over-obligation of federal commitments.

I get annoyed by the current philosophy about the power of positive thinking with the “Law of Attraction.” It reminds me of a party animal with a fortune to squander. Eventually, the funds or the good health run out. The party was fun while it lasted. It is easy to see that carbon fuels are in finite supply, and we can put the skids on way before we fall off the cliff. The finite nature of money, which is the material manifestation taken by obligations to others, is much more difficult to grasp.

I’m with Glenn Beck in believing the cure is not going to take a stroke of genius from Washington demigods, but sacrifices by each and every one of The Wee People.
