Here are a few comments about Buncombe County’s Sustainability Plan. Rather than viewing this as self-promotion, think about me being so riled, I wish to scream instead of speaking in muffled tones; and increasing web traffic has the same effect as old-fashioned screaming.

Master planning goes back to this concept wherein a person feels inspired. They alone have just the right insight and imagination to override everybody else’s brain and put everybody else exactly where they ought to go. Should anybody act like a human instead of a salt shaker in the planner’s hands, why we’d have an unexpected consequence, wouldn’t we?
