In case there is any doubt left about the president’s view of business and job creation, let this brief video put it to rest. WCCO asked the president about Obamacare’s medical devices tax — which has bipartisan opposition due to its negative impact on jobs, including from Democratic Sen. Kay Hagan — and the president said he will not back off the tax.

“No,” Obama told WCCO in an interview today, when asked whether he’s changed his mind about the medical device tax. “And here’s why: The health care bill is going to provide those medical device companies 30 million new customers. It’s going to be great for business. And they’re doing really well right now.”

Ah yes, this is the classic mindset of a leftist. In other words, government will decide who is “doing really well” and who is not, and what is “great for business” and what is not.

If this government-knows-best belief system doesn’t alarm you, it should. What will you do when the next thing the Left believes is “good” or “bad” conflicts with your freedom to earn a living and/or practice your religion?
