I admit it — I just hate listening to political crud. A speech by Obama or a root canal: that’s a coin toss. Last night I watched some excellent tennis rather than what I was sure would be a horrendous speech by a loathsome politician.
It’s a good thing there are people who were willing to endure THE SPEECH, though. Writing on NRO, Yuval Levin gives what I’m certain is an accurate summary here.
So it’s more demagoguery and disinformation from our Beloved Leader as he goes flat out to shove down our throats this greatest-yet expansion of the federal leviathan. Not surprising. Obama is an arrogant authoritarian who menaces our future.
Mencken said of Calvin Coolidge, “He had no ideas and was not a nuisance.” I’d love to have him around to write about Obama.
