I’ll go ahead and offer my reaction to my friend Ruth Sheehan?s News & Observer column today about me and the Wake County Blue Ribbon Commission.

It is an interesting take on statistical analysis to argue that a true random sample of Wake County voters is less likely to reflect public sentiment on taxes and schools than the votes of a few members of a 60-person committee picked by public officials with a political agenda (not that there?s anything wrong with that).

And I don?t get the Church Lady reference, either.
