On the education battlefield, Lindalyn Kakadelis is attending meetings. Following a decision to remove 6- and 7th-grade programs for next year at Brookstone Schools, Lindalyn spoke to a group of parents about their options.  She suggested public magnet schools, charter schools, and other private school options. In Lee County, Lindalyn met with community leaders to plan a luncheon to be held there regarding education reform, with herself and Terry Stoops as speakers. A handful of state legislators met with Lindalyn to discuss teacher certification and licensing, and whether or not American Board Certification could come to North Carolina.  On the radio, Lindalyn spoke with Lockwood Phillips about the state’s abysmal graduation rates. Terry Stoops spoke on the graduation rate, as well as teacher pay, on WPTF and State Government Radio.
