Clark also weighs in on the call for a federal investigation into missing files on the Klan-Nazi shoootings, saying the NAACP “takes a poisoned view” of Chief Tim Bellamy’s GPD.

The Rev. William L. Barber’s letter to state and federal officials letter indeed makes some incredible claims including, as Clark notes, the “fact” that the active duty officer who revealed the destruction of files is in “obvious danger.” Barber also describes the Nov. 3, 1979 shootings as a “racist hate crime,” adding the “destruction of evidence represents the deepest violation of public trust, particularly in the light of the increasing number of acts of domestic terrorism.”

Pretty strong language.
