HB 1023 AN ACT TO ESTABLISH A STATE LOTTERY TO SUPPORT SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION, TO FUND COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS, AND TO GENERATE FUNDS TO FURTHER THE GOAL OF PROVIDING ENHANCED EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES SO THAT ALL STUDENTS IN THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS CAN ACHIEVE THEIR FULL POTENTIAL, AS RECOMMENDED BY THE HOUSE SELECT COMMITTEE ON THE LOTTERY.
This lottery has a high purpose, see – so kids can achieve their full potential. Now they can add to their potential to be either drug dealers, rock or sport stars to being winners of the NC lottery. Plus schools can further save money on cutting out algebra, history and English as these will not be needed.
