It couldn’t happen to a nicer group of thugs:
After several days of rage from conservative activists regarding a provision in the bailout bill that would send some of the profits from the sale of distressed assets the goverment buys into an affordable housing trust fund, congressional negotiators have removed section 105(d) of the bailout proposal, according to aides on both side.
And people say it takes the mainstream media getting upset to get anything done in this country. The MSM ignored this outrage but still it was communicated to congressmen forcefully enough to get this bit of rancid pork excised. It’s a whole new world, baby.
Now, when will a mainstream media reporter have guts enough to ask Sen. Chris Dodd and U.S. Rep. Barney Frank why they were so anxious to give millions to a radical socialist group with a history of criminality? If Barack Obama isn’t asked about his ACORN/Ayers radical connections in the next presidential debate, it will confirm that the MSM has simply abdicated its responsibilities.
